Summer In London Can Improve Your English
Studying a language abroad is becoming an increasingly popular option for young people.
|
London, UK (ePressReleases.org) Jun 27, 2012 - Many are looking to enjoy a summer in a new country whilst still using the time productively to gain a new skill.
There are a number of opportunities available to anyone looking to improve their English, but if you are looking to gain the language skills as well as gain more knowledge of British culture and lifestyle, spending a summer abroad is a great opportunity to do so.
This summer will be a great year to visit London. With the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics coming up, national spirit is at its height and street parties and special celebrations to honour the two landmark events taking place in the UK this year. At Malvern House, students will be given the opportunity to attend a number of these events at a discounted price.
During the months of July, August and September, the majority of events planned will revolve around the London Olympics. In July, students at Malvern House will be given the opportunity to attend a free sightseeing tour of London, as well as visit traditional tourist hotspots such as Borough Market, Friday Night Skate at Hyde Park and the Men's Road Race.
Notting Hill Carnival is one of the most exciting events taking place in west London every August. Students looking to understand and become part of the multicultural side of the capital should not miss the Caribbean-inspired weekend of incredible food, music and street atmosphere. The Hyde Park triathlon offers an opportunity for people to become a part of the sporty atmosphere in London during the Olympic season.
For students staying in London during the month of September, the Diamond Jubilee Coat and Badge Race, which goes between London dock and London Bridge, is an opportunity to see a London tradition, while the Thames Festival is a fun and sociable activity for people of all ages.
Summer is a great time of year to visit London, no matter what the objective. For young people looking to improve their language skills, the generally good weather and vibrant atmosphere provides a great opportunity to meet people and soak up a new culture which can lead to a new life perspective.
